Go on a wine tasting tour in Sonoma County!
Saturday, September 14th, 11:00AM – 7:00PM
Join IEEC on a winery tour of Sonoma County! Attendees will visit three wineries and be able to pay for tastings of many delicious local wines. There will be a $5 attendance fee to pay the designated drivers and attendees can decide how much to pay for tastings. The group will also stop for food during the day. The deadline to sign up is Wednesday, September 11th in International Services. Space is limited so sign up as soon as possible! Study Abroad in Australia or South Africa this Spring!
This year is very special because there are actually spaces still available to study abroad in Australia and South Africa! This is rare so make sure to take advantage of this incredible opportunity. Many academic fields are available and you will be able to take courses applicable to your degree. If you are interested, come into International Services to make an appointment with an advisor as soon as possible! The deadline to apply is September 20th! IEEC Coffee and Culture Hour

Free coffee, tea, food, and good company! Come and join IEEC for weekly coffee and culture to meet the International, Domestic, and Exchange students! IEEC Coffee and Culture Hour is also a fun way to interact with students that have studied abroad or students that will go abroad and the NSE/International Students. Go to Oktoberfest Themed Oakland A’s Game!
Saturday, September 21st from 11:00AM – 4:30PM
Put your steins together and say “Prost!” to A’s Oaktoberfest game on Saturday, September 21. Specialty beers will be available to fans 21+. 10,000 fans will receive an A’s Oktoberfest Stein, presented by Saag’s, upon entry to the ballpark. Enjoy German-themed entertainment throughout the ballpark during the game, plus German-themed food offerings. $15 a person for bleacher seats and $3 per person for gas. IEEC will be meeting at the Flagpole at 10:45AM to ensure attendees arrive in time to receive a beer stein! Are you interested in studying away? It’s never to early to start thinking about and preparing for education exchange! Picture yourself in France, Hawaii, Mexico, New York, or Japan! For information on how you can have the best experience of your life, come into International Services to sign up for an Information Meeting! You can also join our Facebook event for more information. Meetings will be every week on Mondays and Tuesdays from 1:00 – 2:00PM, Wednesdays 10:00 – 11:00AM, and Thursdays 11:00AM – 12:00PM. Scholarship Opportunity for Students Who Want to Study in Scandinavia!

The American Scandinavian Foundation (ASF) offers fellowships (up to $23,000) and grants (up to $5,000) to individuals to pursue research or study in one or more Scandinavian country for up to one academic year. The Goethe-Institute is looking to hire a German exchange student for their cross-cultural ambassador program! The next informational meeting is on Friday, September 13 from 6-8 at the Goethe Institute.
