Thursday, September 26th, meet at the Flagpole @ ETA

DEADLINE TO SIGN UP IS TODAY!! (Tuesday!) IEEC is organizing a trip to watch a Giant’s game in San Francisco! Space is limited so be sure to sign up in International Services as soon as possible! Deadline to sign up is September 20th. We are also looking for drivers, so if you have a car and are willing to drive, be sure to let International Services staff know! Study Abroad Scholarship for Pell Grant Recipients!

 Application Due October 1st

Are you studying abroad in the spring? Are you a Pell Grant recipient? You may be eligible to receive a bunch of cash to study abroad through the Gilman Scholarship! You can study to Australia or South Africa NEXT SEMESTER!!

Application Deadline is September 30th!


Are you interested in studying abroad to Australia or South Africa next semester? You are in luck! The CSU International Programs (IP) has pushed back their deadline for these two amazing, usually super competitive, programs! If you are at all interested, come into International Services to make a meeting with Hope Emry Ortiz, the International & Exchange Programs Advisor as soon as possible!!

Please stop by the office to sign-up for your ‘Good Karma’ shift! This event is for those of you who would like to volunteer to table for IEEC for a total of 4 hours (one hour per week) this Fall semester. While tabling, you will be promoting IEEC as well as our Study Abroad, NSE, and WIVA programs. Scholarship Opportunity for Students Who Want to Study in Scandinavia!

The American Scandinavian Foundation (ASF) offers fellowships (up to $23,000) and grants (up to $5,000) to individuals to pursue research or study in one or more Scandinavian country for up to one academic year. Awards are made in all fields of study. Fellowship and grants for advanced study or research in Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden. The Goethe-Institute is looking to hire a German exchange student for their cross-cultural ambassador program! Are you interested in working, interning, volunteering, or teaching abroad? International Services has hired someone to help you! Come in and visit the WIVA Grad Assistant to find out how you can get abroad. The opportunities are endless and there for you to take! IEEC Coffee and Culture Hour

Free coffee, tea, food, and good company! Come and join IEEC for  weekly coffee and culture to meet the International, Domestic, and Exchange students! IEEC Coffee and Culture Hour is also a fun way to interact with students that have studied abroad or students that will go abroad and the NSE/International Students. Thrift Shopping and Pie Time

Do you like finding amazing deals and eating delicious foods? Come join IEEC on a trip thriftshopping and gain an experience even Macklemore would enjoy! Let’s explore Petaluma, do some fun Thrift Shopping,  and eat some yummy pie at the Petaluma Pie Company, (where they serve all kinds of  delicious pies!!!) Lagunitas Brewing Co. Tour

Come join IEEC for a tour of the famous Lagunitas Brewing Company! Free brewery tour and afterwards we can stick around for dinner and hang out. Because this tour doesn’t come with the beer tasting, students who are not of age can come along! For more information take a look at our Facebook Event!
