The Peace Corps will be visiting SSU on March 26th!
Barbara Smith, from the Peace Corps, will be on campus tabling from 11am-1pm in the Salazar / International Hall Quad. From 11:00AM-1:00PM, there will be an Information Session in the SSU Center for International Education (International Hall 107), focusing on the Application Process & Tips for Success! This is a GREAT opportunity to learn more about the Peace Corps and get one-on-one support from a former Peace Corps volunteer.

Study Abroad Informational Meetings are Happening Now!
Interested in studying in another country or another state? Your first step is to come to an info meeting! Come sign- up in the Center for International Education. The information meetings start on January 26th and run till April 29th. Meeting Days and Times: MONDAYS @ 3:00- 4:00 PM TUESDAYS @ 10:00- 11:00 AM WEDNESDAYS @ 1:00- 2:00 PM THURSDAYS @ 3:00 PM- 4:00 PM
NSE Application Workshop Meetings are Happening Now!
The National Student Exchange Application Workshops will begin on January 26th. If you have already attended an info meeting and a 1-on-1 meeting with Hope, come in and sign up for a workshop! This is a mandatory meeting in the application process so make sure you come in to the Center for International Education to sign up! The Workshops will help out with any questions you have about the application process for NSE domestic and NSE study abroad programs! Meeting Days and Times: MONDAYS @ 11:00- 12:00 PM TUESDAYS @ 3:00- 4:00 PM THURSDAYS @ 11:00- 12:00 PM
If you are a professor or a student would like their class to learn more about different opportunities to study away, you can request a classroom presentation! All of our Go Global Ambassadors are either study abroad alumni, international students or NSE students and would love to talk about their experiences! Click here to request a presentation and allow at least one week ahead of time before the day of presentation.
SIT Study Abroad Scholarships
SIT Study Abroad is committed to increasing access to international education and to ensuring you have the information you need to successfully access funding for your study abroad program with us. We offer a broad range of scholarships and grants, including our award winning Pell Grant Match. Scholarship awards generally range from $500 to $5,000. For programs beginning in Summer 2015, application deadline will be on April 1; Fall 2015 program deadlines are May 15. Come in and visit the WIVA Programs Assistant to find out how you can get abroad. The opportunities are endless and there for you to take! IEEC goes to the Giants vs. As Game!
Join IEEC for an exhibition game between our two Bay Area rivals, the Giants and the As! This trip has a value of $45 including game ticket ($16 value), round trip ferry ticket ($24 value) and gas and parking ($5 value)! However, we at IEEC understand that as students, budgets can be the make or break factor in being able to attend fun events! That’s why we’re offering a special deal to IEEC members of just $30! Space for this event will go fast and sign-ups will be open as long as space permits. We will post on our facebook event page with updates on tickets availability.

Coffee and Culture Meetings
Join us at our weekly Coffee and Culture Meetings! IEEC holds Coffee and Culture every Thursday from 12 – 1 PM. What is Coffee and Culture you may ask? Coffee and Culture is a weekly event where we get together and share cultures, life experiences and just a place to hang out. We always meet in International Hall 107. Social Justice Week
will have its first ever Social Justice Week March 23rd through the 27th! We are so excited to have so many orgainzations from Sonoma county participating as well as three amazing keynote speakers. Other events include teach-ins on the Vietnam War and current state of endless war, workshops on nonviolence, the move to amend campaign, the US department of peace building campaign, and a presentation on the Israeli/Palestinian conflict among others. Please join us for our week of activism! It is free and open to the pubic. We will accept donations for the organizing club (Sociology, Social Justice and Activism Club) at our keynote events.

The Holi Festival is a festival to celebrate the welcoming of spring and leave behind any and all the negative feelings of winter. Come watch a Bollywood performance and then participate in throwing colors to celebrate this occasion. Come experience a different culture in a fun and exciting way!
