Study Abroad Informational Meetings are Happening Now!
Interested in studying in another country or another state? Your first step is to come to an info meeting! Come sign- up in the Center for International Education. The information meetings start on January 26th and run till April 29th. Meeting Days and Times: MONDAYS @ 3:00- 4:00 PM TUESDAYS @ 10:00- 11:00 AM WEDNESDAYS @ 1:00- 2:00 PM THURSDAYS @ 3:00 PM- 4:00 PM
CSU IP Australia/South Africa Application Workshop Meetings Start Next Week!
The CSU International Program’s (Australia and South Africa) Application Workshops start next week, April 15th! If you have already attended an info meeting and a 1-on-1 meeting with Hope, come in and sign up for a workshop! This is a mandatory meeting in the application process so make sure you come in to the Center for International Education to sign up! The Workshops will help out with any questions you have about the application process for IP Study Abroad !

If you are a professor or a student would like their class to learn more about different opportunities to study away, you can request a classroom presentation! All of our Go Global Ambassadors are either study abroad alumni, international students or NSE students and would love to talk about their experiences! Click here to request a presentation and allow at least one week ahead of time before the day of presentation.
SIT Study Abroad Scholarships
SIT Study Abroad is committed to increasing access to international education and to ensuring you have the information you need to successfully access funding for your study abroad program with us. We offer a broad range of scholarships and grants, including our award winning Pell Grant Match. Scholarship awards generally range from $500 to $5,000. For programs beginning in Summer 2015, application deadline will be on April 1; Fall 2015 program deadlines are May 15. WORK, INTERN, VOLUNTEER ABROAD (WIVA)
Are you interested in working, interning, volunteering, or teaching abroad? The Center for International Education has hired someone to help you! Come in and visit the WIVA Programs Assistant to find out how you can get abroad. The opportunities are endless and there for you to take! The Peace Corps will be visiting SSU on April 23rd!
Barbara Smith, from the Peace Corps, will be on campus an information session in the Seminar Room at the Center for International Education. From 4:00PM-5:00PM, attendees will learn about the Application Process & Tips for Success! This is a GREAT opportunity to learn more about the Peace Corps and get one-on-one support from a former Peace Corps volunteer.

Coffee and Culture Meetings
Join us at our weekly Coffee and Culture Meetings! IEEC holds Coffee and Culture every Thursday from 12 – 1 PM. What is Coffee and Culture you may ask? Coffee and Culture is a weekly event where we get together and share cultures, life experiences and just a place to hang out. We always meet in International Hall 107. We’re making the most of the beautiful spring weather and holding this week’s Coffee and Culture outdoors! Come join us for a picnic on the field near the lakes outside International Hall. We look forward to seeing you there!

California Forum for Diversity in Graduate Education
The Forum is an all day event designed to acquaint students from underrepresented groups with the academic and career opportunities associated with advanced study in a wide range of disciplines. The event is open to Sophomores, Juniors, Seniors and Master’s Candidates with a minimum GPA of 3.0. The forum will host workshops on how to pay for grad school, how to prepare for the GRE, how to write a statement of purpose and more! Plus, there will be a Graduate Recruitment Fair featuring over 150 recruiters from across the nation and free access to the Princeton Review’s online GRE prep course.
The Forum will be: Saturday April 18, 2015 8:00am – 4:00pm
