Welcome back Seawolves! The Center for International Education is back in action for the 2016/2017 school year and we’re off to a great start. We would like to welcome all our new international and NSE students as well as all the students who have just returned from their travels. Stay tuned for an introduction of our new Student Ambassadors and all the events CIE has to offer this semester. We’re looking forward to an awesome year, so come visit us in International Hall 107 and join in on the fun!

There will be free food and drinks in addition to announcing the winners of our photo contest! Join our Mentor Program

We will be continuing with out mentor program this semester. This program will connect students of all types. Whether an international student, study away applicant, or have just returned from time away, it is a great way to meet new people and share experiences. Please look at the sign up page for more information and to fill out the form to get your partner.

NSE Application Workshops are continuing and applications are still being accepted! It’s never to late to apply! Please come into the office to sign up and start the next step in your study away process.

Study Abroad Informational Meetings are Happening Now!

Interested in studying in another country or another state? Your first step is to come to an Info Meeting! Come sign-up in the Center for International Education for the time that works best for you!
Meeting Days and Times:
MONDAYS @ 3:00- 4:00 PM
TUESDAYS @ 3:00 PM- 4:00 PM
WEDNESDAYS @ 11:00- 12:00 PM
THURSDAYS @ 10:00 AM- 11:00 AM

Classroom Presentations

If you are a professor or a student who would like their class to learn more about different study away opportunities, you can request a classroom presentation! All of our Go Global Ambassadors are either study abroad alumni, international students or NSE students and would love to talk about their experiences! Click here to request a presentation and allow at least one week ahead of time before the day of the presentation.




 Need a Car?

Sonoma State is now providing Zipcar services to students. This allows students to reserve a vehicle through the app and use the provided vehicles when needed. Internatizipcar-instructionsonal students are also qualified to participate in the program. Follow this link for more information and to get started on using this service!

Coffee and Culture Meetings

Join us at our weekly Coffee and Culture Meetings! IEEC holds Coffee and Culture every Thursday from 12 – 1 PM. What is Coffee and Culture you may ask? Coffee and Culture is a weekly event where we get together and share cultures, life experiences and just a place to hang out. We always meet in International Hall 107. For more information on activities and themes of each meeting, join the IEEC Facebook page.

This week’s Coffee and Culture is combined with our Welcome Reception! Come join us for some tasty treats and a chance to meet all the new international students and reconnect with those who have just returned from away and abroad!
