As midterms are wrapping up and October is coming to an end.. The Center for International Education is finishing off the month with some great events to keep your semester fun and exciting! First up: this Wednesday, October 26th IEEC is heading to the Petaluma Pumpkin Patch! Following this, bring your pumpkins to this week’s extended Coffee and Culture on Thursday from 12:00 – 1:30 to get carving for Halloween!

Petaluma Pumpkin Patch
We will be going to the Petaluma Pumpkin Patch THIS Wednesday, October 26th! There is a huge Corn Maze, so large that it would take you at least an hour to complete. Are you up for the challenge? Come one, come all to have some Fall fun with the IEEC community. We will meet at the Flag Poles at 4:30pm. Bring $5 to cover corn maze & extra cash for pumpkins!

International Education Week – Fashion Show

If you are a professor or a student who would like their class to learn more about different study away opportunities, you can request a classroom presentation! All of our Go Global Ambassadors are either study abroad alumni, international students or NSE students and would love to talk about their experiences! 13 Nights of Halloween
Get in the Halloween spirit with a movie marathon! Movies like Hocus Pocus and Nightmare Before Christmas are some of our Fall favorites and are going to be featured in this year’s Halloween programming. Formerly known as ABC Family, Freeform’s “13 Nights of Halloween” event kicks off on Wednesday, Oct. 19 and ends on Monday, Oct. 31. Need a Car?
Sonoma State is now providing Zipcar services to students. This allows students to reserve a vehicle through the app and use the provided vehicles when needed. International students are also qualified to participate in the program. Follow this link for more information and to get started on using this service!
INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION EXCHANGE COUNCIL (IEEC)
IEEC is heading to Taco Thursday next week on Nov. 3rd to get our Mexican food fix! We will be meeting at the flag poles at 5:15PM and then heading over to Mi Ranchito in Cotati. Cabin Camping Trip!
Join IEEC from November 18th – 20th as we spend a wonderful weekend in a cabin in the woods! Twain Harte is a small forest town, about an hour north of Yosemite, that is surrounded by many hiking trails, beautiful lakes, and much more. Come into International Hall 107 to sign up for this awesome trip, but don’t wait till the last minute because half the spots are already filled up! Only $20 all inclusive.. What a steal! Coffee and Culture Meetings
Join us at our weekly Coffee and Culture Meetings! IEEC holds Coffee and Culture every Thursday from 12 – 1 PM. What is Coffee and Culture you may ask? Coffee and Culture is a weekly event where we get together and share cultures, life experiences and just a place to hang out. We always meet in International Hall 107. For more information on activities and themes of each meeting, join the IEEC Facebook page.
This week’s Coffee and Culture theme is carving pumpkins and will be extended for an extra 30 minutes! Bring in a pumpkin and hang out with the IEEC community to participate in this Halloween tradition!
