IEEC Goes To Pack The Den

16266044_1221658304586888_7057977339896383980_nThis Friday, February 3rd, Sonoma State University is having their annual Pack The Den and IEEC wants to bring you to cheer on SSU Women’s and Men’s Basketball Team! There will be free giveaways, free pizza and more! It’s first come first serve so we will get there a little early and grab awesome seats. SSU Students get in for free so just bring yourself and wear your SSU gear. Event is held on campus so we will meet at the CIE at 5pm and  walk over together!


Study in Ghana this Summer!

Do you want to experience the culture and history of Ghana? Want to travel to 14947486_1242390419145175_200242756996102909_nAfrica for two weeks? Want to get credit while doing it? This course provides the opportunity for students and participants to actively and personally experience the history and local culture of Ghana in unique ways.

The Ghana Faculty led program is having an information meeting in International Hall room 100 at 12pm this January 31st. It is not too late to apply to this program! February 3rd everyone who applies by then is given a $1,000 grant, while February 10th is the last time to apply for this program!

Application Workshops for CSU IP

Have you already attended an Info meeting and a One-on-One with our advisor Hope? Now its time to get working on those applications! Come into International Hall 107 to sign up for a workshop that fits your schedule!


Faculty-Led Tours

The 12 day trip includes: three performances (two at The Globe and one at the Royal Shakespeare Company), tours of three theatres, a master class at The Globe with professional actors, a walking tour of Shakespeare’s London, a trip to Stratford-upon-Avon, visits to museums, eight hours of classroom time to study monologues chosen to tie into the shows we’ll be attending, preparation for a required paper analyzing the three shows we’ve seen, plus free time in one of the most amazing cities in the world! https://www.facebook.com/events/566571066859378/

Classroom Presentations

If you are a professor or a student who would like their class to learn more about different study away opportunities, you can request a classroom presentation! All of our Go Global Ambassadors are either study abroad alumni, international students or NSE students and would love to talk about their experiences! Click here to request a presentation and allow at least one week ahead of time before the day of the presentation.

 Need a Car?

Sonoma State is now providing Zipcar services to students. This allows students to reserve a vehicle through the app and use the provided vehicles when needed. Internatiozipcar-logo-1140x407nal students are also qualified to participate in the   program. Follow this link for more information and to get started on using this service!

Coffee and Culture Meetings

Join us at our weekly Coffee and Culture Meetings! IEEC holds Coffee and Culture every Thursday from 12 – 1 PM. What is Coffee and Culture you may ask? Coffee and Culture is a weekly event where we get together and share cultures, life experiences and just a place to hang out. We always meet in International Hall 107. For more information on activities and themes of each meeting, join the IEEC Facebook page.

This week during Coffee and Culture we are celebrating the various New Year practices across Asia!



Happening at SSU

SSU Seawolve living this past weekend made a trip to surprisingly sunny San Francisco’s Pier 39 for the afternoon. Be sure to check out any new opportunities to take a break and get away from campus for even a few hours. The next event is LoboFest: ASP Free Seawolf Bowling Night.

Free movies are being offered on campus in Ives 101 at 9pm, starting on Saturday February 11th with the film Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
